Suncadia

First of all, I apologize for my blogging hiatus. I left my laptop in Clackamas and without easy access to a computer and 8 weeks of feeling extremely nauseous/exhausted, I haven't gotten around to organizing my life onto the blog. I've got a lot of my mind, so stay tuned for a few more posts to come soon!

We spent Memorial Day Weekend at Suncadia resort with our friends Danielle, Sean, and their adorable daughter, Emery. I would highly recommend Suncadia to any families living in Seattle; it is quick to get to, super kid friendly and far enough east that you feel far from Seattle.  Owen and Emery are at a perfect age because it doesn't take much to entertain them. They loved hanging out in the hotel lobby people watching, sitting by the pool, playing at the park and strolling around the grounds. The kids were beyond adorable together. They had lots of sweet moments holding hands and hugging (all of which we captured photos of) and quite a few periods of contention when they both wanted the same snack or toy.  They are both terrible at sharing, as pretty much all toddlers are, so it was good for them to have to work with each other. They honestly couldn't be any cuter.

After the kids were in bed, Danielle, Sean, Ty and I bonded over beers and board games (non alcoholic for me, unfortunately). We also tried out a few new adventures over the weekend, since Danielle and Sean are much more active than we are. Owen went for his first bike ride, which was an epic fail. He hated it and literally screamed for the entire 50 minutes in his little buggy. I don't think we'll be buying bikes anytime soon. His first hike, on the other hand, was a success. Owen liked hanging out in the hiking backpack and stopping for snacks at the waterfall.

It was a lovely and memorable weekend, we may even make it a tradition!
